Silat
The martial art of the Malay people is Silat. This martial art has been around for a long time, even at Boro bodar in Indonesia. The martial arts of the Malay people are still carved, indicating that Silat has been in operation for hundreds of thousands of years. There are 3 characteristics of martial arts called Silat.
1. Silat is the movement of a body to protect itself from attacks from enemies or opponents.
2. Silap is a style of rhythm that is used in martial arts.
3. Silau is a retaliation that is used to protect oneself from enemies or opponents attacking us.
Therefore, Silat Martial Arts can be said to be a movement, rhythm and style, a systematic response created by humans. Organized and delicate to protect themselves from the attacks of enemies and opponents.
In learning about Silat martial arts, one person has different levels of learning according to their ability and efficiency.
